Jorge Daniel Faccinetti
JD has over 25 years of marketing management, communications and research experience. He has worked for top national communication agencies and developed marketing, communications and sales programs for international and national leading brands, products and services in consumer, business-to-business, nonprofit and social marketing. His extensive international experience includes assignments in Latin America, Australia, Africa, Middle East and Asia. His brand experience includes work for Del Monte and Nabisco Brands, US Army Recruiting, Cellular One, Harrah’s Entertainment, among others. He speaks Spanish fluently and has a working knowledge of Italian, French and Portuguese. He is a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications at Washington State University.
He started his own practice as an independent contractor over ten years ago providing marketing and communications, research, and business development services to a diverse list of leading domestic and international brands, marketing and communications agencies, nonprofit organizations, international development and professional service firms. In March 2009 he founded IgniteThinking LLC, a research and insights firm in San Francisco, Sacramento, CA and Portland, OR. From 2006 to 2009 he was also a joint venture partner with Communique Partners, a San Francisco based market intelligence firm providing online voice-of-the–customer systems, custom advisory panels and online research services. He still works with Communique Partners on selected online panel/community research projects requiring special skills.
His work focuses on research, brand strategy, marketing and communication in the corporate and non-profit sectors. Clients included, Sony, Siemens, State of California, AT&T, HP, Johns Hopkins University, Sun Microsystems among others – past and present clients and project list here – His recent work also included marketing communication and international development support for World Bank/USAID funded programs in partnership with Washington DC based The American Institutes for Research and Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs in Latin America, Africa and Asia, as well as account planning, strategic services and new business support for several leading communication agencies.
Prior to starting his firm in 1998, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Trahan, Burden & Charles, Inc., a top 100 US Communications Agency headquartered in Baltimore, MD. His focus on strategy, new business approach and integrated programs were important drivers in the company’s West Coast office growth. Clients included Harrah’s Entertainment Corp, Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, Micron Computers among others. He also ran the marketing department for Harvey’s Resorts managing a $12 million budget. In 1992 he won the Marketer of the Year “Ace Award” for marketing excellence from the American Marketing Association for his branding and strategy work.
In 1984 he joined N W Ayer as an account executive and quickly rose to Vice President Account Supervisor with regional and national responsibilities in the San Francisco and New York offices working on Penney’s, Burger King and the US Army Recruiting accounts. In 1987, with a Team from leading San Francisco PR and Advertising Agency Solem-Loeb he developed the first Hispanic consumer and trade advertising campaign for Del Monte Brands targeted at the top US Hispanic markets. The 18-month effort increased sales by more than 300% and led to additional work for Del Monte Brands and Hawaiian Punch in the general market. His international experience includes 3 years as international marketing manager for Seattle-based Warn Industries, a leading automotive four-wheel drive manufacturer. Job duties included marketing responsibilities and heavy travel in Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Africa.
He is a graduate of the Edward R Murrow School of Communications at Washington State University (1979). He is fluent in English and Spanish.
